Adrian Price is a passionate speaker and an advocate for peace and justice. Born and raised in Gainesville’s Duval Community, he experienced first-hand the impact of living in an environment deeply rooted in violence where he picked up traits that would lead him to a carceral experience of 11 1/2 years. The confines of that experience that usually destroys, instead built and induced in him an enormous determination to free himself and those bound in the same capacity. With his determination and commitment to making a positive impact, he founded the Engage and Nurture Project, an NGO committed to raising awareness and inspiring young people to take small steps toward freedom. He believes in the power of community engagement in addressing violence.

Adrian is an honored graduate of Santa Fe College where he obtained his A.S. degree as a Radiological Technologist. He was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and the President of the Justice Club during his attendance at Santa Fe College. He received numerous awards for his initiatives on justice, including the Veteran for Peace Award in honor of the late John A. Penrod and his most notable Founders Award of Freedom to Learn. Which is a resource program for those pursuing higher education who have been impacted by incarceration.

His professional career has progressed dramatically, from supervising his team in a moving company to working as a MRI Technologist at North Florida Regional Medical Center, Gainesville, where he currently works. His determination is evident in his career transition. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Adrian enjoys spending time outdoors, playing basketball, and capturing the beauty of nature through painting. He loves sharing his knowledge through public speaking, hoping to influence and educate a wider audience about the importance of peace and social justice.
